Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about choosing tools, shipping and returns. Need help with a specific application? Contact YS Tools.

How do I choose the right tool?

Send us your material, machine model, required cut or profile, and tool dimensions. Include the cutting diameter, cutting length, shank diameter and overall length where available. Photos, markings or a drawing of your current tool can help us identify a suitable option.

Do you accept custom tooling enquiries?

Yes. Contact us with your drawing, dimensions, material and application. Please confirm specifications, availability and lead time with us before placing a custom order.

Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?

We currently ship within Canada only. Standard shipping is free on orders of $100 CAD or more and costs $12 CAD below that threshold. Express shipping costs $20 CAD. The free-shipping threshold is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts, before taxes and shipping. See our Shipping & Delivery page for details.

When will my order be dispatched?

In-stock orders are usually dispatched within 2 business days of receiving your order. Business days exclude weekends and public holidays. Dispatch time is separate from carrier transit time. For custom tools or time-sensitive orders, contact us to confirm availability and lead time.

Can I return a tool if I ordered the wrong size?

You may request a return or exchange of an unused standard product within 7 days of delivery. It must be unused, in its original condition and in complete, intact original packaging. Contact us for approval and return instructions before sending it back. Used tools are not eligible for change-of-mind or incorrect-size returns. Custom-made tools cannot be returned for non-defect reasons. See our Returns & Refunds page for the full conditions.

Who pays for return shipping?

The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Please obtain return approval and shipping instructions from YS Tools first.

What if an item arrives damaged or I suspect a manufacturing defect?

Contact us promptly with your order number, a description of the issue and clear photos of the tool and its markings. Keep the packaging if the item was damaged in transit. For a used tool, we may request cutting parameters, installation details and usage history, or return of the tool for inspection. Breakage or chipping alone does not establish a manufacturing defect. Claims are reviewed case by case under our Returns & Refunds policy, without limiting rights available under applicable law.
